Individual Counselling

There are times in most peoples lives when things seem confusing, difficult and stressful. We can feel overwhelmed with our situation and it’s at these times that individual counselling may help.

Counselling can offer an opportunity to talk through your thoughts and feelings in a supportive environment. My role as a counsellor is to support you as you begin to work through and better understand your situation.

I offer counselling on a weekly basis for an hour at a regular time and day agreed with you. Our initial meeting gives us an opportunity to talk through your needs and identify the areas you would like to work on.

Counselling may not be suitable for everyone or for emergency situations. For example those who are in an extremely anxious state, feeling suicidal or suffering from severe mental illness. In these circumstances contact your GP if possible or one of the following organisations.

  • Samaritans
A telephone helpline for those who are contemplating suicide or are feeling depressed.
  • Sane
Provides emotional support, practical help and information.
  • Mind
    The mental health charity.

Alternatively contact your local community mental health services.
